Divorced - Die Wurst

German students seem to derive an enormous amount of pleasure from the English word "divorced". Although the phenomenon itself might have caused some wept-through nights for some, the phonetic proximity to the German equivalent of "the sausage" can lead to remarkably light-hearted lessons. I I have to say that I am rather glad that there is no such connotation to "divorced" as to the extraordinary German words "Bohnen" and "Botschafter", which seem to be even more amusing for English learners of German.
